This weekend is my Sigma Alpha Epsilon's Founders Day, which means a weekend away with my boyfriend! His chapter is having a huge celebration and I have been anticipating this weekend for weeks now. The weekend is full of fun events. On Friday night we are going out on the town with a lot of his Brothers and their dates. Saturday is the day. The guys are waking up early to do what guys do and go fishing, while the girls sleep in and go shopping later in the day after brunch. That night the chapter is hosting a huge dinner for the active members, alumni, and their dates. I have been working on finding a great dress to celebrate the occasion. I hunted and hunted and finally narrowed it down between these two.

That was until I was shopping in J.Crew the other day and ran across this little beauty.

All three are beautiful choices and after carefully weighing the options on each, I decided to go with the Eliza J dress! I am so pleased with it and cannot get enough! I am dressing it up with a gold and clear stone necklace to give it a little sparkle up top without taking away from the dress. 

Ultimately, I have to consider which dress was more "me." As much as I am crushing on scallops right now, that color would not work for my complexion and I knew it wouldn't photograph as well in the dimly lit room. As for the lace option, it is beautiful, but everyone there is going to be rocking this style. The stripes (my ultimate crush) the with color pop at the bottom were my first pick and I kept going back to it. It was the first dress I saw at Nordstrom and I knew I had to have it, but want't to consider other options. 

When picking a dress for an event always remember to go with what it most you. You will feel more comfortable and look more confident when meeting new people and overall.
