KEEPING IT REAL

I think this phrase has accidentally become my life motto throughout Lent. Ever since the season began I have been replaying the words in my head and repeating them whenever things are getting a bit hazy along the lines of communication. With that being said, I want you all to know that I am 100% real with you. Despite keeping most of my personal information a secret, you know a lot about me. For instance, you know I have this blog. I laugh about my double life at times, but overall I feel that it is healthy. Mostly, I feel that it is healthy for you. I love living a sorority life where I am not defined by which sorority I belong to, where I am from, what school I go to, etc. It is the ultimate freedom.

I digress...

So as much as I love this blog {and you all}, you may have noticed that I haven't been posting as much as what I used to. This is for two reasons. The first is that work and school are busy! It's not bad though. I love staying busy and I know that I am no busier than anyone else, but this little blog requires some attention. If I let myself I can easily spend three hours playing around with one post. Is it worth it? Absolutely. To have my words sent out to my sorority sisters all over the world is one of the most rewarding feelings I have ever experienced.

Which brings me to the second reason I haven't been posting as much. It is hard to develop good content on a regular basis. It is easy to post every day, but I promised a couple of months ago I wasn't going to post just to post. As nice as it is to see that "Total Posts" number increase daily, it is even more rewarding to hear genuine responses from you all and to see the reader count go up. I'm not going to lie to you and say I don't track my analytics. I love reviewing them. Do I obsess over them? Not anymore. Over the past year I have learned what works and which posts are your favorites, but I continue to review the analytics.

I wasn't planning on this post to become as long as what it is, but I just wanted to give you a little update to say: Don't give up on me because I'm not posting every day. If I post something, it is because I think it is worth it and I think you will enjoy it. I do not say enough how wonderful you all are and how lucky I am to be in the position I am in. I love connecting with each and every one of you and I am so happy you are all my sisters!
