With the Spring semester looming, it is time for the neglected recruitment season to begin - deferred recruitment. It is crazy to me how many schools host sorority recruitment in the winter months. It amazes me even more to think about the different things you have to consider for this recruitment compared to recruitment during the summer months. For me, the biggest issue with recruitment is the heat. Making sure that rowdy recruitment counselors and nervous PNMs have enough food and water to make it through the day is tough. With a deferred recruitment I feel like I would be shoving as much coffee and hot chocolate at everyone to keep them warm.
Another logistic is coats. PNMs, please wear a coat if it is cold. There is no reason for you to worry about the members not seeing your cute outfit because they will. Just remember to take off your coat once you are inside or leave it with the recruitment counselors outside. You can also always wear a cute coat on days that are you more dressed up (i.e. Pref) instead of your usual North Face jacket.
I have selected five coats at all sorts of price points to help you discover what is best for you!
Be on the look out for more fashion ideas on what to wear for deferred recruitment!!
