DRESSING FOR CHAPTER IN THE WINTER MONTHS PT. 2

It has been so long since I have made one of these posts, which is sad because they are some of your favorites. I was always kinda at a loss on what to wear to chapter. I had my go-to outfits, but I got tired of those quickly. Fortunately, you have Pinterest now to plan outfits. I do this almost every day to go to work. I just get so bored wearing the same items of clothing the same way over and over. I put together a couple of different chapter outfits for you all.

Obviously it is all about the layers in winter. I thought a maxi dress would be something different especially when paired with an edgy leather blazer and suede booties. If you already have a leather jacket, throw that on top and forgo the blazer. Break out of your normal chapter look and spice things up a little! You'll still be comfy and warm and I bet you'll receive a lot of compliments!

I love this every day look for chapter. If your meetings are more casual, wear with jeans or throw on your black skinnies. You can wear any colorful as the bottom layer and keep warm with a new faux fur vest. Be sure to make it sparkle with a bib necklace to tie the look together! Depending the on the pants you wear, you can wear riding boots, booties, heels, or flats!

DRESSING FOR CHAPTER IN EARLY FALL

It is officially fall and we have established that many of you are already back in school. Recruitment is a thing of that past and now you get to focus on a successful school year not only for yourself, but also for your chapter. I don't know about you, but I feel so much more prepared to tackle anything whenever I feel put together. This is something I have really noticed in the past couple of weeks. I recently started a new job and one of the major differences is the dress code.

My last job wasn't incredibly relaxed, but my boss encouraged us to dress for the meetings we had so if I didn't have any meetings on a Tuesday then I could very well come in wearing nice jeans and it wouldn't be a big deal. Jeans are a big no-no in my new office. I joke that I know I am a professional now because my Chaco tan line has quickly been replaced by a Jack Rogers tan line.

With this minor change though I have noticed that productivity level has increased. I feel more driven, solve problems quicker, and communicate more thoroughly. I'm not entirely sure if it is all because of what I am wearing, but I do think it plays a role.

I think this is such a fun time of the year to get dressed up. It is starting to get cooler, but it isn't exactly fall yet. You can get by with wearing pants without looking like you will swelter or wearing a skirt without looking like you will freeze. Here are a few of my favorite looks that I think are super easy to put together!

DRESSING FOR CHAPTER IN THE SPRING MONTHS

A few months ago I did a post on how to dress for chapter in the winter months. It was a totally unexpected hit! I received so many hits from that one post via Pinterest that I knew it was the start of a new series. I have been hesitant to create the post since the weather has been bouncing back and forth between freezing to warm and back. Thanks to a visit from some warm weather, I was able to muster some inspiration for the outfits!

Spring is a tricky time to dress professionally for because the weather changes so much. One day it is cold and the next it is warm. Even worse, the mornings are cool, days are warm, and nights are back to cool. The weather makes chapter meetings a struggle to dress for.

I think the trick to getting through the days are layers. I always keep a cardigan on hand in case I need it. It comes especially handy whenever I am in cool rooms (this is also useful for the summer).

Again, I really tried to spice things up with these outfits without going completely over budget. I know we only have so much money to spend on clothes, but I think these outfits are doable!

DRESSING FOR CHAPTER IN THE WINTER MONTHS

Chapter attire is easy as long as it is a comfortable temperature outside. For me, it was always a struggle to find something cute to wear after a long day of classes when it was cold outside. I have put together three outfit options for different styles.

Fun fact: I hate wearing pants. However, I will wear pants most of the time because there are so many cute colors and patterns in style right now. I hate the traditional black pants with a cute top. It gets so boring after a while.

I really tried to make sure these outfits were not boring and were giving you ideas of how you could incorporate this style into your chapter attire. I believe that they can all be created at whatever price point best fits your budget.

I also recently added a new pin board dedicated to chapter attire. It has quickly become by favorite so be sure to check it out!
