Yay for our new Sorority of the Week, Sigma Sigma Sigma! After a brief pinning war with Alpha Epsilon Phi, Tri Sigma came out on top to take the title this week.

Sigma Sigma Sigma was founded in 1898 at Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia. Their colors are royal purple and white. Tri Sigma's mascot is the sailboat. 

Fun fact: Everyone's favorite country girl, Carrie Underwood, is a member of Tri Sigma!

SORORITY OF THE WEEK | DELTA ZETA

I apologize for my lack of Sorority of the Week posts lately! I have been in the middle of moving and traveling and it takes some time to covet great pieces and put together downloads I think you will love. With that all being said, I am happy to announce that our new sorority of the week is Delta Zeta!!

Delta Zeta was founded at Miami University in Oxford, OH on October 24, 1902. Their colors are rose and green and their symbol is the roman lamp. Delta Zeta's mascot is the turtle. Fun fact: Delta Zeta was founded at the same school at Beta Theta Pi, Phi Delta Theta, and Sigma Chi!

Delta Delta Delta (aka Tri Delta or Tri Delt) was founded in 1888 at Boston University. Their colors are silver, gold, and cerulean blue. Tri Delt's mascot is the dolphin and their philanthropy is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Kappa Kappa Gamma (aka Kappa) was founded in 1870 at Monmouth College. Their colors are light blue and dark blue. Kappa's symbols are the owl, key, and fleur de lis.

Alpha Phi was founded at Syracuse University in 1872. Their colors are bordeaux and silver. The symbol of Alpha Phi is ivy. Alpha Phi was the first sorority to build and occupy its own chapter house.

Alpha Phi was founded 140 years ago at Syracuse University. Alpha Phi is known for many firsts like the first women's fraternity to occupy a chapter house, the first to utilize traveling delegates, and the first to have a website. Alpha Phi also called the first meeting of what became the National Panhellenic Conference.

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded on January 2, 1897 in New York, New York. Their national philanthropy is Arthritis Research and Education. Did you know... AOII does not have an official crest?!

This week we celebrate the ladies of Pi Beta Phi! Pi Phi was founded originally as a secret society, and was the first national women's secret society. Their colors are wine and silver blue and the national philanthropy is literacy.

Alpha Xi Delta was founded 1893 in Galesberg, Illinois at Lombard College. Their symbol is the quill. The national philanthropy of Alpha Xi Delta is Autism Speaks. Fun fact: The current NPC Chairman is  a member of Alpha Xi Delta!

This week we celebrate the ladies of Zeta Tau Alpha.

Zeta was founded in 1898 at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. Their symbols are the five-point crown and the strawberry. The national philanthropy of Zeta Tau Alpha is breast cancer education and awareness.

Sigma Kappa's colors are perfect for an early transition into Fall. The colors are still bright enough to notice, but are not your typical summer brights. The dove dress would be cute with tights and tall boots. The Minnie pants are always a great Fall staple as are the Gap flats.

I am so excited to introduce Gamma Sigma Sigma as our first non-Panhellenic sorority to be featured as Sorority of the Week! These ladies are honestly some of my most devoted readers and I am pleased to have the opportunity to recognize them. 

This set has to be one of my favorites so far. The colors go together in such a classic manner. 

If you do not know anything about Gamma Sigma Sigma, their motto is "Unity in Service". They have 53 active collegiate chapters all over the country!

This week we are honoring the ladies of Chi Omega! I knew as soon as I saw that red and yellow dress that I needed to use it for Chi Omega. Also, how cute is that owl lamp?

Alpha Chi Omega won the poll by a landslide! Thanks to everyone who voted, but it looks like these girls wanted to see some love on Your Sorority Sister. 

My favorite pieces in this collection are the Dogeared necklace and the BB Dakota dress. The necklace is so cute and subtle to work into every day outfits. I think it would be a wonderful initiation gift. The lace on this dress is gorgeous. I think it is the perfect shade of red for a preference party.
