I cannot believe that Fall Recruitment is creeping up on us. I feel like this is a good time in the year to begin focusing on what you are going to wear for the process for a few of reasons:
1. You have time to plan everything out.
2. GRADUATION! (if you are a senior in high school)
3. Sales.
Planning It Out
I personally like to plan out all of my outfits and know what I am supposed to wear. Recruitment attire is a little different at each school to be sure to see check with your respective school. Some provide t-shirts so you only need to bring shorts, shoes, and accessories. Others ask that you wear dresses throughout the week.
As for chapter members, attire is again different at each school and for each chapter. While one sorority may wear skinny jeans and lettered shirts another may ask you to wear a white dress on a specific day of Recruitment. It is always best to check the information before you leave for summer. Also, do not just assume that because you wore white dresses last year that you will wear them again this year. Recruitment Chairs change and so do their ideas.
Graduation
Ohhh it is a wonderful time in any senior's life. So full of hopes, aspirations, and money. Seriously, do a little planning and saving on your graduation money. Is it reasonable to spend $100 on a pair of sandals you will wear forever? Yes, it is. What is even better is when you do not have to spend your own (or mom and dad's) money on them. Not only will you be able to say exactly what you spent it on, but a pair of Jack Rogers is certainly an investment piece that you will treasure for years to come. (TIP: For your first pair of expensive shoes go with a neutral color. You will get a lot of wear out of them rather than trendy colors.)
Sales
Knowing what you need for Recruitment means being able to keep an eye out for it. Right now there are a few months until Recruitment. If you get an idea of what to wear now, you will be able to catch sales as they come along rather than splurging on several outfits at the last minute. Again, do your research, figure out what your favorite brands are, and look around!
