GROWN-UP SHOES

I have been on the hunt for the perfect "grown-up" shoe lately. As my job search draws ever closer, I am constantly looking for pieces to add to wardrobe to get me through the process. To say that Nordstrom has been a god-send is an understatement. With the semester winding down I do not have a lot of time on my hands to go to the store, so I am usually online shopping in my down time.

I may be the only one (not!), but I absolutely despise wearing heels. I would go to every interview in flats if I could. When looking at shoes, I definitely wanted a pair of heels that I felt comfortable walking in. By this I mean not just comfortable heels, but I knew I could wear them for a long period of time without my feeling like I was going to fall down. I don't exactly have the best knees and heels sure do not help. For this reason, I set a rule that the heels could not be more than 3 inches. To be honest, I don't think you should wear a heel higher than 3 inches to an interview, but some people can rock it.

I also wanted a "classic" shoe with a twist. I like most of the options I have listed below, but only a few really caught my eye. However, I still think they are all really great shoes.

I also ended up spending a lot of time taking pictures of shoes on my phone and sending them to my boyfriend. This may sound completely ridiculous, but he was so honest about all of them. He knew what I was looking for and let me know when a pair of shoes was too plain or looked a little funny. He also told me what would catch his eye so I took that to mean a lot coming from a guy.

In the end I bought the perfect pair of heels for me! I will take a pic and share when they arrive :)
